Super cool 1952 Gibson Les Paul Allgold! Those Allgold finished Les Pauls have something special! Especially the finish finish on the back of the neck reacts with the players sweat and humidity and oxidizes which leaves a unique fingerprint on every guitar – something the current “aging” world never will be able to replicate. This guitar has been oversprayed with a heavily yellowed clear coat which gives it a brownish copper look. The Allgold guitars often have a thicker finish, sometimes 2 layers of Gold and clear coat. The overspray has a very similar lacquer chemistry as original 50s lacquer – it has been applied ages ago and already shows plenty of weather checking. The guitar had on-a-stripe tuners at some point but the original tuners are back on. Besides this everything is straight and all original – all parts are original – of course the gold finish as well. Really nice Les Paul! There is a Mojoaxe tailpiece installed for playability, the original tailpiece come with the guitar. original strap is also included as well as the original case!
