This guitar is a rare bird for sure! It’s built by Gibson for their sub-brand Kalamazoo in 1942 – a typical war-time guitar without the adjustable trussrod. It’s based on the KGN-32 model, same size as the Gibson L-50 guitars but with a Cromford fingerboard (another sub-brand from Gibson in the 30s) and tortoise binding. It’s basically a top-of-the-line Kalamazoo from an era when leftover parts where used. This guitar has been from a collection from a late luthier in Europe who obviously loved it since he set it up perfectly. It has new frets, low action and plays like a dream – it also sounds incredibly good. The big V-shaped neck feels well broken in and the blond finish with flamed maple back and sides looks really nice too. Comes incl. soft case.
