1979 Moonstone Vee - Natural

Rare 1980s Moonstone Vee in Natural finish, built by luthier Steve Helgeson California/USA. Steve began building acoustic instruments in an old shingle mill located in Moonstone Heights/California in 1972. All Moonstone instruments where made of highly figured woods, the neck of this Vee is a "neck-thru" construction, with two maple wings, both sides topped with highly figured quilt maple. The 5-piece neck (Maple with 2 Walnut stripes) has an Ebony fretboard with 24 frets and Abalone Snowflake inlays and the letters "FJ" inlayed on the 12th fret. Chrome hardware, Kahler tremolo and two Bartolini pickups, 1x volume, 1x tone and a phase-switch. Great sound with lots of sustain, lightweight with only 3750g. The guitar is in excellent condition, only minor play-wear and no weather checkings, the original frets are still in great shape. Comes in black hardshell case.
